Billing and Cooing

These wood pigeons sit on the frame of my neighbours' trampoline every evening at around 6pm.  You can set your watch by them! They're so sweet - like a little old couple - and spend ages preening each other.


'Ere, give us a kiss!!

Oh go on.... I loves you I does!


No.  Shan't.  I'm playing hard to get.



Pleaaaase????  Just a little peck??



Sigh.  Oh go on then.  Just one mind!

    Kim, those are not wood pigeons. They're ring (or collared) doves. Wood pigeons are much too uncouth to behave like that.

    We have wood pigeons that spend every summer in our garden and they are a very close couple.

    Okay, your dialog/conversation was hilarious.
    That being said, I'm glad you enjoy them because doves/pigeons drive me nuts! Can't stand em and chase them away when I am outdoors.
    But your dialog was hilarious!
